2) I have felt that giving up feeling more often than not, but what pulled me through is the thought of completing the objectives, learning, and not having to take the class again. I feel like I already had a tenacious attitude due to having to work my long hours and do school for the past 2 years now, even if before it was high school and now college, they are both comparable.
3) My three tips for an incoming student to this class would be:
- Do as I say not as I do: Make a calendar for this class like I said, do not do the assignments at 11:46PM on Friday, as I do.
- Go into the class with an open mind, I did not have an open mind, now that I have one, I am enjoying this class more and more!
- In times of having a feeling of giving up, picture life goals, goals that are attainable, but unattainable without an education and career/entrepreneurial venture. Picture entrepreneurial goals as well, those help as well.

Patrick,
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you highlighted that this class forced you to become more organized and keep track of when assignments are due because that is also one of my biggest takeaways at the halfway point. I have noticed that when I finally set aside time each week to work on these assignments (like a specific time) then the quality of my assignments went way up and I felt like I was getting so much more out of each assignment. Great post!
The nice thing about this class is you are able to miss not doing a couple assignments and still be able to get an A in the class. I am taking this class with Finance and it is the best decision I ever made. Many of the assignments in this class do not take much time to complete so it gives me more time to focus on Finance which is very much needed?
ReplyDeletePatrick, I applaud you for keeping up with this class while working 70 hours per week. I have a difficult time keeping up with the class while working 20 hours per week and could only imagine how tough it would be if i were working your schedule. I enjoyed your three tips as well, specifically the first one. i have found that keeping a calender for this class does boost my grade, but we all have to do things last minute sometimes due to a late shift or a tight schedule. I have lived by your tip of having an open mind in class, and have also found that doing so makes assignments easier.
ReplyDeleteFirst off I love the meme I for one love memes and this one fits this class so well . It is like I complain about the work load but its like I am the one who decided to wait until last minute and on top of that I really didn't die like it really wasn't that bad of work I just don't do what I am supposed to do to and intern keep the results
